Lantern Hunt Support
Help for the Lantern Hunt iPhone app.
Lantern Hunt is an app for documenting spotted lanternfly removals. You photograph and submit the lanternflies and egg masses you remove. Approved removals earn points and appear on the leaderboard and community map. The app also has streaks, a customizable avatar and collectible nymph companions.

Troubleshooting
My removal hasn't counted yet
An administrator reviews each submitted removal. Its points are confirmed and it appears on the community map only after it is approved. Rejected submissions do not appear on the map.
A photo or submission won't upload
Check that you have a working internet connection, then try again. If it keeps failing, close and reopen the app.
Location isn't being recorded
Lantern Hunt records the location of each removal. Make sure Location Services are on, and that Lantern Hunt is allowed to use your location in the iPhone Settings app, under Lantern Hunt.
Something else isn't working
Make sure you have the latest version of Lantern Hunt from the App Store and try restarting the app. If the problem continues, email us.
Deleting your account
You can permanently delete your Lantern Hunt account from inside the app. Go to Profile → Delete Account.
This deletes your account and its Lantern Hunt data. That includes your profile, avatar, submitted removals and their photos, and your nymph and game records. Deletion cannot be undone. Deleting the app from your phone does not delete your account.
